It is that time of year again for the Halloween parade! We are excited to be announcing that it will be on Sunday October 25th and the rain date is Tuesday October 27th. We are excited to have a new and improved Judges’ Stand right at the Upper Perk Community Life Center. Get ready for a great night of fun and excitement!
The Upper Perkiomen Valley Halloween parade is an annual event that generates tons of excitement in the community. Feature over 50 organizations, businesses and individual participates the parade drawls over 10,000 community members along the 4 mile stretch. The parade route marches down Main St. (Rte 29) through the boroughs of Red Hill, Pennsburg and East Greenville (about a 4-mile length).
It takes many people to make the parade happen. This year we are asking for a few volunteers to help with making this great event happen. Here is a list of who we need:
- Starters – People that help line up a section of the parade and get them started. This is an easy job if your group is already walking the parade.
- No Parking Sign hangers – The Saturday before the parade we need to hang up the no parking signs, it goes fairly quickly.
- No Parking Sign removers – Folks walk behind the parade and remove the No Parking Signs
- Collectors – We need a few people at the beginning and the end to collect donations on the walk.
