Holiday Events in Upper Perk Valley


It’s the most wonderful time of year, and there are plenty of FREE, family-oriented events to help celebrate the season!

Christmas in the Valley: Enjoy an evening of Christmas music at the Fifth annual Christmas in the Valley on Saturday, December 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Upper Perkiomen High School auditorium. Bring your family and friends for a night packed full of special music and favorite carols. There is no cost for admission, but food and monetary donations will be collected to support The Open Link.

Hometown Christmas Parade: Share in a very special Upper Perk Valley tradition this holiday season. The Hometown Christmas Parade, December 7th at 1pm,  is one of the largest of all animal parades in Pennsylvania. Kids of all ages will enjoy the best of an old-fashioned Christmas parade with an up close view of horses, llamas, sled dogs, and hundreds more animals participating. Many will be decorated in their finest Christmas attire. Following Santa’s arrival at the end of the parade, he will visit with children at Santa Land at St. Mark’s Church, 81 Main St., Pennsburg. Santa Land contains plenty of activities for children. The Upper Perk Community Life Center, 104 Main St, East Greenville, will host a craft bazaar with an amazing array of unique items for holiday gift-giving. And there is so much more to see and do…The Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce will host an Ugly Christmas Sweater Happy Hour for local business leaders on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 5 pm at Pizza Como/PC Pub. On Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 am to 3 pm, Marlborough Elementary School will host a holiday bazaar. Kids can enjoy a free holiday puppet show at the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library on Dec. 11 at 7 pm. There will be free photos with Santa at the Upper Perk YMCA  on Dec. 13 from 9 am to 12 pm. Upper Perkiomen High School’s Choir will perform a winter concert on Sunday, December 21 at 8 pm at the high school. See a full listing of local events on our calendar.

Though December is packed with baking, decorating, shopping, and…well, more shopping, don’t forget to enjoy the spirit of the Christmas season. Spend some quality time with family and friends at an event close to home this holiday.
